Students who are looking for help with their Angel courses and creating a study plan are in luck! The Office of Academic Support will be holding drop-in hours at the Latham and Saratoga locations as well as through an online classroom. “The benefit of drop-in hours is that students can stop in anytime during the drop-in hours and get help with their specific needs” stated Kate Stockton, one of the learning coaches at the Northeast Center. “This is great for all kinds of students, those who just want a quick question answered to those who need someone to sit down and walk them through logging in to their Angel course or developing a personalized study plan.”
There are two different drop-in hours being offered this term. The first one will be on “Enhancing How You Learn in the Angel Environment” and it will run from 4-6pm on Wednesday January 16th and 9:30am – 12:30pm on Friday January 18th. First term students, students taking an online course for the first time and any other students who have questions about using the Angel platform are encouraged to come. Learning coaches, peer coaches and technical support will be available to help students during these drop-in times.
The other drop-in topic will be “Plan for Success – Developing Your Study Plan”. Drop-in hours will be from 4-7pm on Wednesday January 23rd and 9:30am – 12:30 pm on Friday January 25th. First-term students, reinstated students and students who just want to be proactive in planning their term successfully are encouraged to attend at their convenience.
In addition to helping students on these specific topics, students will also get a chance to learn more about academic support resources and meet academic support team member such as learning coaches, peer coaches and the Director of Academic Support.
