CNYC hosted its Third Annual Open House on September 24, 2010. Over 60 students, alums, employees, and guests from our community, attended. Guests listened to welcoming remarks from President Davis and myself, and viewed a video created by Michael Mancini documenting the Empire State College experiences of three of our Chancellor’s Award winning alumni:David Eichorn ’10, Dee Cote ’10 and Peggy Lynn ’05. Our Central Arts Gallery fall show, The Central Fire: A Native-American Art Exhibit was one of the highlights of the evening.
This show was curated by local artist, Tom Huff (Seneca- Cayuga). The same night the college hosted Native People in Popular Culture, Stereotypes and Mascots with speakers: Suzan Shown Harjo and Michael Taylor.
