Empire State College, working with the Charitable Leadership Foundation, created 15 online math and science courses designed specifically to engage adult students with contemporary topics in science, math, and technology. Students and learners of all ages may find the learning resources developed for these courses to be useful and interesting; so, we provided public access to assemblages of course content and activities in a web site previously known as the SMART site. This content has been migrated here and updated, and new content will be added.
In addition to the course previews accessible in the Pages in the right column, the Math, Science, and Technology menus (see Tabs above) lead to learning resources organized by area of study. To round things out we’ve put together links to some of the best resources for Educators who teach math and science and, if you’ve always wanted to do science rather than just learn about it, the Citizen Science menu lists a sampling of the growing number of research projects that engage motivated non-experts in active scientific research. Look around, read and use the resources and, if interested to sign up for a course, visit www.esc.edu for complete information.
To navigate, use Tab menus or Page links and browser back arrow. Links to external sites typically open in a new window.
