The Empire State College community is invited to a staged reading of War Stories, a performance about the effect of war based on writings from the ESC community. The performance will be held at All College, on Wednesday, March 28th at 6:45 in the Saratoga Hilton in Broadway I and II.
This material for the script was solicited from ESC student, staff and faculty. From the submissions received, Claudia Hough, Cindy Bates and Elaine Handley from the Northeast Center wove the selected stories and poems together into a 75 minute performance, which Cindy is directing. The script consists of many voices from men and women who have been to war, as well as from those on the home front. The performance has no political agenda, but invites the audience to come to a deeper understanding of how all of us are affected by war.
Actors in the March 28th performance include Deborah Smith from CDL and International Programs and Nadine Wedderburn of the Northeast Center, as well as student Ryan Smithson from the Northeast Center.
APRIL 24, 2012 PUBLIC Perfomance: There will be a free public performance of War Stories on April 24, 2012 in the Proctors GE Theater in Schenectady, NY. That performance will be streamed live and can be accessed through choose.esc.edu/WarStories
